The planning

Eurovelo 3, also known as the pilgrims route follows a centuries old trail from Trondheim in Norway to Santiago de Compostello on the western coast of Spain.
Trondheim , since the Middle Ages , has been the destination of pilgrims visiting the Nidaros cathedral, to view the tomb of St Olaf , so it was a 2 way route because going south they'd be visiting the tomb of St James the apostle.
Anyway, we fly into Trondheim on the 17th may ( still early spring brrr ) and over the next 4 months wander south through 7 countries and eventually fly out of Lisbon in Portugal
