This year we start at Liege , Belgium, where we left it last year.
The bikes are getting a makeover, new tubes and tyres where needed. We're using the old bike bags this year as we had trouble getting our cardboard ones through Australia last year
The route takes us through some WW1 sites , east of Paris, along the Loire to Tours, then south west to Bordeaux and over the Pyrenees where we hook up with the Camino way to Santiago-de-Compostello
It's going to be bloody hot as we're leaving a bit late this year. My sister Raewyn is to blame, she's celebrating her big 7 O ,so we're having a hooly before leaving

Anyway we leave in a week ,landing in Frankfurt then after visiting friends ,we'll train to Liege to begin biking. The first blog should be about the 4th of July
