The buses don't run to Liege .(it's in Belgium )but the train leaves at 11 am.
I hate these automatic ticket machines . We were lucky to meet another cyclist going our way who was a great help
And here we are finally, Liege
" thanks Gerome "
Beautiful day! Gentle breeze! A great day to be on your bike
This market stretched for about 3 kilometres along the river and took a while to get through. When we finally cleared it and were making progress ,Christine stopped me and pointed to a sign
"Are we supposed to be heading for Maestricht"?
Shiiiiit !!! 😠. Ok, wrong direction
That's where we want to go today.
Huy, about 40 kms away.
Believe me, even when we got on the right path it took some finding .
Worth it though. This is a very pretty town
Hello from Liège !
ReplyDeleteI was very happy to help you during your trip (damn automatic ticket machines ;-)).
When heading (unfortunately) to Maastricht, you rode through the Sunday market of "La Batte", which is the largest and oldest market in Belgium :-)
For info, you can have a look at the website (in french) of the RAVEL's network of bikeways in Wallonia (mainly off-road paths, with also international connections to Maastricht, Aachen, etc. : http://ravel.wallonie.be/home.html.
Good luck fo your trip, and probably see you next year in NZ !
