Orleans

It's Sunday morning which means nothing will be open all day except cafes and restaurants.

Shortly after leaving Gien we passed this nuclear power station. The last time we rode through here you could bike right next to it but now they send you in a loop away from it...95 of these nuclear plants in France !

The route runs along the top of enormous stop banks giving good views all around. This is Steve . A Scot who's working in Dublin. He's on his way home and rode along with us until Sully-sur-Loire

Coffee in Sully S.L. then crossed to the right bank .HEAPS of bicycle tourists

Chateauneuf-sur-Loire. This was as far as we were going but it was only lunch time and it's been good going

Chris from Amsterdam took our photo. He is on his way home taking the EV3 route north.
Should have stopped there!
A strong head wind came up and there were no more rooms until Orleans.

We arrived there at the same time as a huge rally of vintage cars so considered ourselves lucky to get a room . Even luckier than that !
It started raining just after we got in. 80 kms today !so much for our 'rest ' day.
