Jutland

Tracy's ferry left at 8am so we saw her off then went back to the house to tidy up. It was so good to be together with her for those couple of days

We've decided to follow EV5 , the North Sea trail, down the coast of Jutland . It'll be a long time before we see the sea again so let's enjoy it

Old German WW2 gun emplacements line the hill above us as we ride out of Frederikshavn. Many still have the guns in them.
10kms out is Saeby.

A pretty little village . Shame about the roadworks

Blue skies, a nice tail breeze, we were doing 20ks when we chanced this selfie.
Coffee time in Voersa. Best apple pie she's tasted !

Now this I found interesting. The inside walls are made first, wiring and plumbing goes in , then the outside walls, then the roof😳

Major muck up! Took the wrong road somewhere and did an extra 10kms to get to Asaa.
Surprising how many thatched cottages are in each town.

Spring planting time. This is Hou 'and the local boat club are touching up the club house

Nice piece of art from an old wreck

We're at Hals now. As far as we're going as we need to catch a ferry to go further south from here. This beautiful old church ,1740, has got models of ships hanging in it.

Cemeteries in Denmark are more like parks with little hedges around each plot. You only rent the plot, 800kroner/ year , and only for 25years. After that the headstone is moved back out of the way and a new occupant moves in. Interesting eh, oh , and for a few more kroner the Gardeners will keep it pretty or you can do it yourself under their guidance .
As you've guessed I'm not your average tourist !

The only camp in town wasn't properly open but someone roused up the caretaker to give us a cabin. ( when I say GIVE I had to grease his palm with $110 )

Planning for tomorrow
