Creon

We're now in the Gironde and passing through the Bordeaux wine growing area. We hung around waiting for breakfast this morning and didn't get started until 8.30.

There's a tractor for every job here. Very wealthy area! Plus heaps of working gangs. It's pruning and thinning time.

St Emilion. Hundreds of tourists. We thought we'd better put some clothes on before rubbing shoulders with them. Imagine celebrating your 1250th anniversary. !

Every available space is growing grapes. Contouring steep land as well. We're making our way down to the voie verte which runs into Bordeaux. The map shows how we got lost around St Emilion

It's over 30 degrees and we're stripping off again. We would be finished now if that dratted publican hadn't been late with brekky.

The voie verte. The Green way.
And oh boy was that shade lovely 😅

Creon . 60 kms but as you can see we only made good about 40

  1. We loved St Emilion - stayed on a local vineyard. Beautiful town.
